Elethu (“It is ours”) is the name of a project managed by the 38 trustees of the Bonnievale Worker’s Empowerment Trust. It is rooted in pride and dedication - owning this land provides a business opportunity for a sustainable future. The land itself is noteworthy and exciting for its unusually prominent shale (slate) deposits – the perfect terroir for Cabernet Sauvignon. We created a wrap-around label, designed to represent a stack of shale stones with 38 pieces highlighted, one for each trustee. Proud, generous and pleasingly textured in the hand – it brings suitable gravitas to a venture with a noble heart.
